Responsibilities

\n
• Escort patients, take vital signs, and record health histories.
\n
• Prepare patients for examinations, pap tests, and prenatal ultrasounds.
\n
• Assist providers during physical exams, minor office procedures, and surgeries.
\n
• Educate patients on contraception, prenatal care, and menopause management.
\n
• Perform point-of-care lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests) and document results.
\n
• Schedule appointments, manage EMR records, and handle patient calls.
\n
• Sterilize medical instruments and stock exam rooms with clinical supplies.
\n
• Support administrative staff with insurance verification and basic billing codes.
\n
• Maintain HIPAA compliance, patient confidentiality, and OSHA safety standards.
\n

Required Skills

\n
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with externship (certification preferred but not strictly required).
\n
• Minimum 1 to 3+ years of fast-paced back-office MA experience from a Women's Health specialty (OR a Primary Care that performed women's health procedures)
\n
• Capable of handling high patient volume (35–46 patients/day) working with fast-paced doctors.
\n
• Ability to handle heavy FMLA/disability paperwork.
\n

Preferred Skills

\n
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) — strongly preferred.
\n
• OBGYN experience (specifically fast-paced/high volume).
\n
• Athena EMR Experience
\n

Schedule/Shift

M-Th: 8 am - 5 pm

F: 7 am - 3 pm
