Position OverviewAs a safety co-op, at Green Bay Packaging Mill Division, you will gain exposure to occupational safety in a paper mill setting.Responsibilities• Maintaining OSHA compliance of safety programs and procedures• Conducting employee training as required by OSHA• Developing and maintaining proactive safety and security programs• Coordinating the implementation of measures needed to assure compliance with changes in laws and regulations affecting safety• Conducting root cause analysis of injuries and near misses and making recommendations for eliminating potential risks• Overseeing accident investigation programs, developing accident trends and implementing programs/action plans for accident prevention and improving safety performance• Performing other related duties as assignedQualifications• In pursuit of earning a BS degree in Occupational & Environmental Safety & Health• Candidates must have completed or be working toward completion of their sophomore year and be in good academic standing• Excellent organizational skills• Proficient in Microsoft applications• The ideal candidate will have availability to work a semester in addition to a full time summer internship.
