As an Armed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, donors, visitors, and staff. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $21.63 / Hour Job Schedule Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to donors, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor and personnel activity. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services when needed. Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures. Minimum Requirements Possess a valid armed guard card or license. Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. A valid firearms permit is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
